a great egret (i think)

taken at hasties swamp up the hills from cairns. The board said it was a great, but could it be an intermediate?
Meet lot's of interesting people there...mainly bird watchers, but one (non forum) canon owner lent me his 100-400 one afternoon. I was stoked, but not much was happening while i had it, so no keepers. Must start saving my money!!

I dunno about great, I think thats a mediocre egret. :)

The photo, on the other hand, is pretty great. Theres one every summer at a local park but he always manages to evade me.
