I am looking to buy a remote switch for my 20D but have found that the one made by Canon is rediculously expensive so I was wondering if there was an 'off brand' that you could suggest and where I could find it?

It came with a 15 foot cord and cost me something like $12.00. I got it off of eBay. If you search eBay for Canon ADIDT, you will get dozens of hits. Don't expect a flashy product or packaging, but you do get a product that is inexpensive and works well. Ian

Their user ID is etefore. I have done loads of business with them over the last two years and have had nothing but excellent products, great service and fast shipping.

Dec 28, 2006 21:19 | #4 Thanks. I just searched on Ebay and found exactly what you are talking about. I think I'm going to buy it from them but I have a question. From the time you ordered it how long did it take before you got it? 20D, 17-85 kit lens, 70-200 F4, 50 1.4, Amvona AT CF 994 Tripod, Manrotto Monopod that I have never used and a 580EX Flash

I know that seems like a long time, but it is coming from Hong Kong. Some things have gotten here sooner than that.

I didn't want to spend 50+ bucks on The Canon one. 20D, 17-85 kit lens, 70-200 F4, 50 1.4, Amvona AT CF 994 Tripod, Manrotto Monopod that I have never used and a 580EX Flash

I'm not too keen on the Adidt version, it works well enough and is inexpensive but just feels cheap. I've seen another one on ebay recently (just do a search for nova remote) that looks to be a lot better. Nowhere near as expensive as the Canon but appears to be quite well made. It's certailnly worth a look anyway. BiLL
