These are my first attempt at shooting some surfing. The break is Cabarita in northern NSW Oz. Its a right hander that is frequented by mal riders because of the nice long rides you can pick up in the right conditions. Mosto f the mal riders this day weren't doing much on the waves so I followed the short boarders. I used to surf here often about ten years ago. I couldn't have picked a worse day to give this a go, very overcast, the sky was grey and so was the water. I realise they are underexposed, hence the little extra noise. Also I know about the blown white water in the first. Both shot handheld from the beach. I had a good time and probably next time I might give the monopod a go. I'm happy with the action side of it, just need better lighting and practice practice practice.
