Well a New Year is fast approaching, so thought I'd get the next Scottish meeting kicked-off (not promising to organise but....).

When?

Suggest toward the end of January or February.

27th/28th January
3rd/4th February
10th/11th February

As most of the meets have been on a Sunday to date, would it be a good idea to have it on a Saturday, for those that cannot do Sundays.

and where?

Suggestions :-

Landscape - Glencoe
Seascapes - West Coast (Oban or Clyde coast) or East Coast (Fife)
City life - Edinburgh, Glasgow, Stirling or Perth?

All suggestions welcome.

 Full Gear List :Canon 5D, EF 16-35 f/2.8, EF 24-105 f/4.0 IS, EF 70-200 f/2.8 IS
It's not how much kit you have, it's what you do with it that counts.......but at least L glass LOOKS good !!:D

All three dates sound good, as do Landscapes and Seascapes, not so keen on City stuff, done it before and didn't enjoy it much

This sounds great! Sign me up :)
Land, sea, or city - I don't mind, I'm still at the very steep end of the learning curve either way!
Would be good to meet you all and pinch some tips ;). I'll try not to bother you with too many daft questions!
Cheers

Sounds good to me. However as the hockey season starts on 20th January, Sundays are more suitable for me, but Saturdays are not impossible.

Like JLP9639 I prefer Sundays as I shoot sports (football) on Saturdays. But ......... hey, they don't pay me! :( ........... so I could manage either!

At the moment I am free on all these dates but Sat 10th Feb is my wife's birthday so I don't think she would take kindly to me disappearing all day with you lot!

Bring her too!!

Some sorta 'special' present?

Saturday or Sunday is fine by me. If I had to choose I'd choose Sunday because I play Rugby on saturdays but I can miss it, really not bothered

I vote for landscapes and would like some snowy mountains in them! Would you believe that I live in Scotland, and have had my 350D for a year now, yet I still haven't got a single snowy mountain shot yet!

I'm currently able to make all dates, although I do prefer sundays - no idea why though. ;)

I would prefer landscape or seascape, but if we actually got lucky with the weather, then hopefully Glencoe would have a bit more snow to it, so that would be my choice.
