I've started a thread in Sports called Planetpaddler kayakers in Glen Etive Feb 4th. I am interested in what the sports shooters there make of them and what advice they give.

Not much I'm afraid, I was quite underwhelmed by the advice/comments from the sports shooters ?

I've posted a few times there and you never get more than a couple of comments .......... not like T&L! I think Croasdail's comment that you either show the context (the whole drop) or zoom in close (as you did so successfully) was quite useful .... to me, anyway. :)

I have just posted some of my shots from this meet but there seem to be problems with the links.

A couple of landscapes from the weekend. My first batch of CS2. I've noticed that the colours are different on the laptop I've used for PP and when printed or put on my PC at home :( . Somehow I need to get my laptop, PC and printer to give the same colours Anybody know how to do this? I have tried to modify the various colour management settings to the same standards but I must be doing something wrong  .

You will notice that John (rudgej) and Dimitri (dv2004) are currently banned from these forums. Please do not discuss this in any open forum - PM me if you wish to know more.

Perhaps I should draw your attention to one of POTN forum rules:

" "Good-bye" threads are not allowed and will result in an immediate 30-day ban in addition to your thread being deleted from public view. People come and people go. If you need to go—for whatever reason—just go. No parades here". [Pekka 2005].

I recently got a Spyder. It is astonishing how 'off' a monitor can be. As for printing you need to get the right colour profiles for your printer and paper. Scott Kelby's book explains it all.

Agree here, got the Colorvision Syder 2 recently and now both my monitors give similar results (although Laptop is still poor).

Just need to sneak it into work now....;)

Haven't tried calibrating my printer, as it's an old epson and I get most of my prints from Photobox anyhow. I believe Colorvision do printer calibration as well.

 Full Gear List :Canon 5D, EF 16-35 f/2.8, EF 24-105 f/4.0 IS, EF 70-200 f/2.8 IS
It's not how much kit you have, it's what you do with it that counts.......but at least L glass LOOKS good !!:D
