Which tc gives the best image, ie degrades the iq the least - I'm presuming it's Canon but thought it best to ask as many seem very happy with Tamron etc. Also can someone confirm that there is no 2x teleconverter which will retain auto focus on a 400mm f/5.6 on a 30D body.

It's really the image quality I'm concerned about.
