Hi, currently, I'm looking for an Mp3 player. I have been thinking a lot of buying an ipod and considering archos. However, 10 minutes ago, PSP comes into my mind. Not only I can listen to music(cons=not so compact), I can play games(rarely), then what I 'm really interested is that it is capable of gps navigation( I have just recently known and is very interested). "I didn't know roadpath that well"
What I want to know is whether anybody here has tried this.anybody use PSP for this?

(I apologize if my english is grammatically wrong or is not well structured).

Yep, PSP has a gps adapter, much like the ipod. The internet explorer is nice, as long as you don't intend on entering text. Video looks incredible on it, which is nice. Since the GPS adapter was just recently introduced, I'd bet that not many people have it yet.

That said, if you're looking for a PSP, I'm thinking of selling mine that I got for xmas. Got Ace Combat X, Medal of Honor Heroes, and a 1gig Lexar gaming edition ms duo, along with the white headphones/remote, the neoprene case, and all the papers, etc.

Any way you go, best of luck.

yeah. . .I'm trying to gather more info on it but I think due to few people using the feature, I hardly get information on it.
Hmm. . then How does it work? I know that they are selling the adapter for only around 50pennies. I lived in USA and doubt about its availability because I hardly found any info on it. What are the things needed besides the console and the adapter? Will it lag while using the GPS? and lastly, how do I connect PSP to my car(for mp3)? Does fm transmitter works?

The GPS adapter plugs into the USB port at the top. The PSP has quite the fast processor..I've never noticed lag with anything, including internet. You can buy an FM transmitter for it, yes. There's several available. Belkin Tunecast is what I've used for various players.

The adapter should come with some maps. GPS is free.

1stly, You mean the adapter already comes up with some maps? I mean what percentage of the maps?
2ndly,
Gps free? Are you in USA?
I assumed that I had to pay it monthly for satelite or update it with e newer version or something..?
Please let me know if I'm wrong.

Yep, I'm in the US. You sometimes have to pay for maps, but the GPS sat useage is free everywhere, as far as I know. Most any adapter I've seen comes with a street and landmark map of the USA.

Pft...MOST things are only produced in the far east. You still get maps. Most stuff says made in china. Doesn't mean it's in chinese.
