Okay, so tonight somebody brang up the idea in my stool thread, that getting a pelican hard case might work as a stool as well if I stand on it. I thought about it and they are right, but then I looked at the pelican series and they seem very rugged, and unreal for what I would use it for, I would be more interested in something smaller and more briefcase like. The pelicans also seemed heavy. Then I saw someone here had a zero haliburton case.

I then went on their site and saw the prices and was like "guess I won't be getting one." I was just browsing ebay though, and came upon this:
http://cgi.ebay.com …15240QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem (external link)
I am curious, is it the same as this? http://www.zerohalliburton.com …phy/camera_cases/103C.jsp (external link)
The dimensions sure are the same, but the price isn't. If they are the same, is it easy to get dividers or replacement foam?
Lastly, do you think I could fit all my gear listed in my profile + future stuff in there? Or atleast maybe just what I have now? Would it be safe to stand on one of these? It might get scratched a little, but that's no biggie.
In the future I may get a slim laptop (i.e. macbook), could I possibly have that in there with my camera body and say one lens or something?

I had one way back in my early film days. I would think that you would dent, or collapse, the aluminum shell if you stood on it.

Ah, that's a shame. They are so cool. I wonder if it's worth getting one just to be classy. Well, it screams "expensive stuff inside" I guess.

Oh, and what about the 21x13x6 inch one?

That looks like it could fit say a macbook, and my body and a few lenses. Wow!
I'm not sure, I have read they are solid though, maybe not as solid as the hard pelican cases, which might be why standing on them isn't a good idea.

I've had a Haliburton case for about 30 years. It held my Hasselblads & lenses, untill I went digital. Mine is one of the bigger ones, and when flying had to be checked baggage, so it went through a lot. It still looks great, and I have stood on it, with no damage. (stand on the outside edges, not in the middle)

I have the 129C-SI, the big one, I use it for all my telescope eyepieces and accessories. I've never tried to stand on it, but what cowpix says makes sense. It's a pain to cut out the foam but worth it, great case and offers great protection. I used hole saws to cut the foam for circles, and a razor to cut straight lines.

There is a picture of it on my website under the "Telescope Pictures", It's the last picture.

Cool. I got a crumpler 7MDH today, but this is next on my list for case, then I think I'm done. It's classy, and it's a nice way to go around town travelling I think.

One bit of warning: because it looks "classy", it attracts attention. Keep your hands on it, and don't let it out of sight.

Zero Halliburton cases scream "steal me!"....they are built like rocks and last forever...but unless you are James Bond...they do pose a bit of a theft risk.

Awesome. Is bed bath and beyond in Canada.

I am a kid, so this case is probably a horrible idea and screams rich kid with expensive stuff inside.

No BB&B in Canada. Try these.

Amazon: http://www.amazon.com …Stool-Black/dp/B0007TR57U (external link)

eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com …ihZ012QQitemZ220033303770 (external link)

I was doing quick Google searches for EZ-Foldz. If you append Canada to that you might find something close to you.
