For almost the same money, I might pick 6D + 28-300L. As 70D is around $1.2k, which is not too far with 6D $1.6k; also 10-22 is another $500 anyway.

I'm thinking to replace my 5D2 with 6D, too.

10-22 (or 16-35/17-40 with FF) is fun lens to use. You are not missing much from 8mm to 27mm on FF even you traveling in Europe :-) I stop taking wide angle lens for travel 2 years ago.

If the funds were available I would probably pair the 28-300L with a 6D to take better advantage of the wide end for landscape. The widest I've ever used on the crop frames has been 18, which is about 28 on a FF anyway. Of course I'd love to get a 5DIII.:D

Isquare, If you need frame rate the 70D might be a good choice. It looks like the 70D also has articulating LCD and some new video features if you are into that.

B&W is easy to get addicted :) Putting the same shoot, colour Vs B&W next to each, I feel the colour one looking 'dirty' sometime.

I usual use LR B&W Filter Presets, don't like the LR B&W Presets at all.

I think I know what you mean. I love color but there is something crisp and clean about a good B&W.

Are the LR B&W Filter Presets you mentioned built in to LR or something you defined?

Just LR built-in (just check on left hand column under "Presets". I trial some free download and didn't like them at all.

Dual Pixel AF on the 70D have my attention at the moment. There's no doubt in my mind that the 5D Mark IV and 6D Mark II will have this feature. I do use a tripod a lot so this new feature will make Live View much more usable.

Almost all shoots from 5D3 should have GPS position; only few of them run out the battery 2nd cold as this one:

Oh...

Btw, how accurate is the compass data? Do you have to calibrate it each time you use it?

Is it possible to toggle off the GPS and just get the GP-E2 to record the compass data?

All civilian GPS only have accuracy of 100-200 meters, you can spot the off mark in the cities very easily.

It comes with an USB cable, suppose we can carry it on the bag / bell instead occupy the flash shoe. But I never try it.

I was referring to the compass data and not the GPS data...
