I'm not so sure he likes the size of the thing I'm pointing at him.  400mm at 12 feet doesn't have much DoF. This was at 5.6 allowing hand-held at 1/90. No crop, but it needed some sharpening. Tomorrow I'll try flash with for some more DoF. You can take my 100-400 L away when you pry it from my cold, dead fingers.
