I was out playing with my new 70-200, and I noticed this handsome devil. I thought it looked really creepy. He's part of a fountain, but there was no water in it. Looked like something out of a horror movie to me. C & C openly welcomed.

That would make sense...considering the fish and all! Good title.

I like this image, have you thought about converting this to B/W? It might work, just a thought.

great shot,

Yeah, I looked at it in B&W, and I thought it missed some of the detail. For example, the different colours in the statue itself (the blue vs. greyish green) help give it texture....I just thought it was lost in a B & W. You're more than welcome to try out a conversion if you think it would look better....my conversions aren't always that great.

I am not that good at conversions either, it was simply just a thought. I still really like the pic.

Thats one freaky looking dude, just got a 70-200 also and been shooting everything :)

I think you are right about the colours being needed here... and I like it - otherwise the tarnish might just look like grey'd out areas if b/w... only thing is that my eyes focus immediately to the face which is a little distracting as its not where the focus hit on this shot (focus hit the fish) not sure if this was intended... just what caught my attention. otherwise all good :) happy new year too !

My gallery - just posted some of my top shots (external link)
