Hi all,

I have a 20d, Sigma macro 105 dg, Canon 17-85 is, Canon 400mm L F5.6 and a EX1.4 mk2. I want to get a lens that will fit in to the lenses I already have. I photograph everything, planes, people, landscape, nature, dogs, small birds near and far, raptors etc etc.....

I am on the verge of ordering a 70-200 IS 2.8 L zoom, I handhold the 400mm without shakes as I am used to using a pro camcorder, could do with peoples views on any reasons if I should consider this lens only or would I be happier with an alternative?

I have searched posts and read reviews and I seem happy with the option above, there is 0% interest:) at the shop I buy from so thought I should see what you peeps think before pushing the button?

Sigma 100-300mm f4 unless you need the 2.8 and IS.

You also might want a really wide lens. Have you considered the 10-22 for your landscapes?

70-200mm is an absolutely stunning lens (either the Canon or the Sigma, though the Canon IS wins if you can afford it). The Sigma 10-20mm is also excellent for landscapes.
