Here's a photo of the St. Johns bridge here in Portland, OR. This photo was taken just yesterday, 1D/24-70 f/2.8L combo @ 24mm, mode=Av Priority, Av=f/13, Tv=1/200, ISO=100. PP via Aperture. There's also a color version... don't know which version I like better.

I really like both images. The black and White has more drama to it.

i love the black and white! although both are quite striking. the tree/lamppost to the right is especially nice . . . . anchors down that side of the pic.

awesome!!

Thank you! The more I look at the b&w... the more I like it. Here's another view of the bridge... Av=f/8, Tv=1/500, ISO=100.

Gene I was just going through the shots on this paricular forum thinking, 'what the f*"!k!'
Then I came across your thread. Oh joy of joys! someone that has something to offer. I absolutely love the mono work. Yes, they could do with some PP but the essence is really good IMO. Thankyou for returning me to sanity!

2 EOS 1 mkII Dn's, 24-70 2.8L,70-200 2.8L,14 prime 2.8L,100 macro 2.8, metz, metz, and more metz...plus a whole load of other stuff that really is unimportant. It all about the picture, not the tool.
Had the 1ds for a few weeks then realised was overkill. Bought 5d and the 400mm instead.

Another vote for the B&W(s) - the mist adds a lot of atmosphere to the shot - Well done!
