I recall seeing here or a link on a DIY project to make one of those flash concentrators (can't remember what it is called:oops: ) that birders use to get that catch light in the eyes. Can someone direct me to that post or link?
Happy New Year's eve.

Happy New Year Pete! I think that you mean a Better Beamer.

I don't recall seeing a link for a DIY version but if you Google the name you wil find several links to it. Here's a page that describes it and then links to "Nature Photographers" gift shop webpage where it can be purchased. There are several models so make ssure you by the one that fits your flash unit.

P.S. Replacement fresnel lens can often be bought reasonably cheaply in drug stores (look for the reading and magnifying glasses display) but they won't have the two velcro strips on the side.

Stephen Stephen,
Better Beamer is the thing I'm looking for. Now that I know what it is called I'll be able to find that DIY post. Thanks.
Pete
