Film Grain

I was trying something different with some photos of my daughter...what's the opinion on this (desaturated and then film grain added), does it work or not?

Looks like an old print ad.

It's not something I prefer, but if it works for you then that's all that matters.

The beads are still so crisp while everything else is grainy.

I love grain so I am biased when I say I like it

Maybe a bit too much. I would try to back off a little.

It's a good photo, but I'd prefer the grains on a bw version...
