While traveling (in the passenger seat, of course) in the rain last night, I had an idea to try something new. I set my camera to a slow shutter speed, ISO 1600, and tried to hold my camera steady. The results are below. I don't think they are spectacular, but maybe interesting. The light behind the trees in the first one is from a freight train approaching.

Has anyone else tried this with better results?

i think it will be moe interesting if you bring up the contrast up in pfotoshop.
make the sky dark and the colors brighter

i dont think these are better but rather a little different. the 1st photo i call "spaceship launch."

I used high ISO to keep the SS around 1 second.

No filters. I think it was the rain on the windshield that created the star effect.
