Nice shot, but are you sure that those are ducks? I had thought that I had eaten enough Ducks and Geese to tell the difference by now.:D

They look more like geese and swans (in the second photo).

Whatever - they are in a row and there are at least 4 ducks in the lineup...

Swans are not ducks. Pigeons are not ducks. Geese are not ducks.

Doc, what's going on? Imbibe a bit too much this evening?

Have you ever tried to get some ducks all lined up without a swamphen or a couple of pigeons trying to get in on the shot?

But I agree re the swans - the 4 in the top left shouldn't have been there - I pressed the shutter before they got out of the way for me...

I'm with ya TurnipDaze ... this is shambolic  We got Coots and Moorhens in there too. But the Kiwi got a lovely long line there and MDJock manages to achieve an excellent Rubik Cube Goose form ... almost peotic in fact :D

I'm just wondering how many of you know that phrase refers to this kind of duck, and not a bird...

Your ducks may be all in a row, but your gearbox appears needful of alignement.

Ducks, schmucks. I'm a city boy. There weren't no ducks around my parts for the first 33 years of my life. I only became a country boy 17 years ago, and they still ain't prevalent around here.

Thanks, Condyk, for the rubic cube reference. I didn't realize that. I take that as a compliment of the highest order.

As to Pedro, alignment? Not sure what you mean.:p

This was taken sometime ago, before I acquired my 100-400. This is a crop of a looong, far away shot with my 70-200 at 200. Maybe I cropped it crooked. Maybe not. Maybe you're cockeyed from new year partying.

The Doc.

My cyberfriend, I practically live in Chinatown. I ate Duck Yat Gaw Mein last week. It's my very favorite dish.

But the ducks in the windows look considerably different than a real, live feathered one. They're a bit hard to tell from the chickens, except the chickens are fatter.

Sorry, no shots of the wife with a duck. She's allergic. But what she ain't allergic to is buying me B&H gift cards.

Son ... a Duck has got a big flat bill and webbed feet: any ass can ID a Duck  You need to check in with Olliphant. He is master of the hanging pluck naked Ducky shot :D

The wife sounds a gem ... you should keep her. Never heard of a Duck allergy tho' you sure she just doesn't like going shooting with you?
