Broken Wing

I've just started to explore the still life and experimental world, and this one of my very first attempts. I took a few hours off from the family and drove around just "shooting". This statue is one of the outcomes of that. I'm not sure if I like it better in black and white, or if my conversion is any good. Please critique. Thanks!

Thanks so much! My husband doesn't like it, so I was needing some reassurance. I'm also still trying to figure out black and white conversion, so I'm glad someone thinks it looks good. It makes me want to keep trying...I must be on the right track. Thanks again!

Great example! It'll help me invision a shot as a black and white.

It would have been difficult for me to see past the color & texture of the moss...

the B&W would make a nice avatar ...
