Yes indeed, your folders are arranged trough the date on your computer.
That’s how (Canon) software sorts them out.
In camera, on CF card, files are sorted in corresponding folders.

Stick your CF card in card reader and take a look using Windows Explorer (or whichever file browser you use)..


What we see depends mainly on what we look for.

I bought my XT in March '06. Click count is 11,446.

about 14 months - 22000 klicks
1570 clicks per month
although that is including events like a wedding, rally australia, Red bull air race, and a drift competition where is shot 3-800 frames in a few hours

although i think my frame count is slightly higher than it should be due to the counter changing when i use an older card (with a higher frame number)

I have it about 1 year (about 13.5 months) and i don't know how many clicks, but i am sure more than 1k clicks, and if you counting the deleted shots on camera then i can say 10k clicks
