Wow - some of you must have had your XT surgically attached! :p

One year here, with only about 4,000 images. Last 60 days, zero. For some reason, I lose interest when NE Ohio turns from a technicolor world to various shades of grey...

I wiped off the cobwebs yesterday, though. Leaving next week for a 3-week trip to Hawaii, China, and Australia. :)

I had mine just over 14 months and sold it to pay for my 30D. It had about 3400 pictures.
I sold it, because it had some value left and I worried that keeping it an extra year would decrease that value .

I'm up to 3815 and I've had the Rebel XT for maybe 2.5 years?

I I recieved my Rebel XT on May 17, 07 and it has 4508 clicks as of today. It probably wont see many more from me as my 40D arrives today but the XT has been a great learning camera for me.

I've had mine about 3 months and have 1,700 shots.... probably 80% of them are of my kids.

I sold mine after 10 months. I had put over 35,000 clicks on it. Moved up to the 30d mainly because of shutter life. (I shoot semi-pro now.)

I don't get it how can some of you have taken only ~2000 shots in a year etc. I got my camera for Christmas in 2005. I can't tell the number very exactly, but it is somewhere in the middle of 75 000 and 100 000. No serious shutter problems so far. It has sure served me well ;)

Hmmm...I've taken over a thousand shots this week...does that mean I should take a few months off:)? Hope not!

11 months/2300 clicks...

I don't shoot as much as I'd like, especially in college. Also, I don't machine gun things - I did at first but I'm trying to realize I will get better pictures by just putting more thought into composing them and setting up.

Covering Racing events, I often take upwards or 1,000 a day.

And as far as machine gunning it, when you're doing journalism work, you need as many pictures as you can get.

When I shoot portraits, I usually take a lot of shots to get to where I want to be. It's not uncommon for me to take 2-300 pictures in a single hour session.
