I own my Rebel XT since september 05 and it has aprox. 36.000 clicks until now. Holds up pretty good, the outside looks banged up like hell but the camera works fine even under extreme conditions.

had mine for 18 months and shot 32,000. Gave it to a friend and she has taken a further 15,000 - amazingly robust camera,

Bought a 1Ds Mk II to replace it and have taken 31,000 shots in 12 months with it.

or is this a hypothetical danger?
