How can I take advantage of hot swap feature of eSATA drive?

If its not a feature it supports you cant do it.... you might be able to do it if you know command line code, and tell the system to kick the drive off-line, but this is something I learned about my hardware raid card. I dont know it it can be applied to non server systems.

Its not a big deal bro..... Just turn the external on before you turn on the computer, and off after you turn off the computer.... This is what I do on my desktop.

The external isnt going to burn out, that Azio is pretty good... And harddrives are designed to run for a long time. I wouldnt worry about it.

If you are hell bent on unpulgging when its running, get a cheap SATA card that supports Hot Swapping, OR go back to USB...
