It is hard to know unless we see the specific item you are talking about. There are many legitimate deals on ebay and probably just as many that are not. Link please.

Just be carefull....I buy lots of stuff on ebay and you can really get some good deals, especially now when lots of people are selling stuff after Christmas. Always ask a few questions of the seller & 'get to know them' as best as possible before purchasing. Stay away from good deals on things like CF cards as many of them are not authentic. Set a price you are willing to pay for something and never exceede it...there's always another deal coming and your patience will be rewarded....eventually :D Happy New Year.

I have purchased from UR Galaxy on eBay before with no problem.

The Buy It Now price for the CP-E3 that they have listed, is about 25% less than the current B&H price in the U.S.

was just thinking there isnt going to be much in the way of electrionics in side it as its just a batterycase

though it might save me a few quid

(think its about 40 percent cheeper than buying in the uk [I could be wrong tho])

Yeah, not much to it.

From B&H website:

Canon Compact Battery Pack CP-E3 for 580EX, 550EX, 540EZ, 430EZ, MT-24EX and MR-14EX Flash Units

The new external Compact Battery Pack CP-E3 improves flash recycle times significantly and increases the number of firings before batteries need to be replaced. The pack takes optional rapid-change magazines that can be loaded with 8 AA-size batteries prior to a shoot to ensure fast, smooth transitions from one battery set to the next - important in critical shooting situations or to keep up momentum in the studio.
