Where do you get yours at?

I have only purchased from topflight, but since joining this group thought to ask, because I am sure there are a lot of other choices out there.

people get a little snooty over the same questions asked several times but if you are new you don't know that. So :) because I can't remember all the albums discussed try doing a search for wedding albums in the search button underneath the forum title bar.

go ahead keep asking your questions, if you get that same response just search again :) Sometimes running the search leaves you more confused because it pulls up so many different things, sometimes not even related to what your searching for....so it never hurts-to search or ask.

I use a Epson 4800 and Lightroom or photoshop for contact sheets/proofs. You can customoize everything, so I make a 16" x 8" book, nice cover, the images with file names below, then bind it at kinkos with a front plastic cover and backing for $4.
Lightroom is much easier and faster, espcially with leaving room for binding. Photoshop makes it easier if you want to more customize it ( I like black background with white text), but is much much slower overall. This way they get something thats printed to go with whats online, which helps, but it won't be significant enough to not order an album from.

Here's an example of what it looks like, we're finally getting around to working with our own wedding photos

uh, sort of. I use Lightroom to make the printed version.

I host the online versions else where (previously Pictage but I have high hopes for Pickpic's new setup coming this month)

ic.. i'll probably look into the CS2 and see about using the webgallery function. i want to be able to host it on my site so they can see it. but at the same time don't wanna have to individually tag the photos to the thumbnails, etc. etc. i'm lazy.

Ditto for what Kim said here..... we use the same company, Albums Inc. For years I've purchased the Top Flight proof books which have inserts for a variety of sizes. And the good news is that their Cleveland warehouse isn't too far from either of us.:D

Hey, I appreciate the house...I can only imagine in a group this size you have heard the same thing over and over...Thank God for mature level headed people who want to help...thank you.

Hey...at that warehouse do you ever get some good deals?

I usually bought from Premiere...but wow the prices crazy...

Thanks again

Yes Lisa, I think they still have their "deal table," on stuff that's either being closed out, or discountinued. I haven't checked it lately because I buy pretty much standard stuff.

Give Bill Blystone there a call though. He's one of the sales managers I work with and could probably tell you better. Just tell him I mentioned his name and where... it might help ;) . - Stu
