I took a ride to Beach Camera this afternoon to pick up a canon 1.4 extender (better price then B&H). What a dive that store is! No sales help stuff strewn all over the place. If I had a vacuum with me I would have cleared myself a path. I guess sometimes its better to order on line and not see the store. At least tomorrow I can shoot with my new extender.

yeah, i've been there . . . not the best personalities working there, but, like you, i went there for the price advantage. As long as I'm saving money, I get what I need and there is nothing wrong with the item, i could care less what the place & people are like.

i guess you're from NJ. Have you seen Unique Photo in Florham Park? Very nice & knowledgeable people there and the showroom is clean:D

it's great where we live (i'm north jersey also) . . . we order from b&h, save on sales tax, choose the cheapest shipping, and still get our stuff the next day:D

I had the same experience there. The sad part is, they used to be really good, but once they started concentrating on mail order, the store went to hell. The last time I went there, we asked to see the 20D they had in the display case and the response was, "Are you gonna buy one?".

In New Jersey I recommend Unique Photo. A little further north, but worth the extra drive.

FYI, Buydig is the same company as Beach Camera.
