Hey everyone, ive been trying to get into photography for the past couple years. I was saving towards a decent DSLR but my G/F bought me a S2IS. So far I like it, and it seems pretty good. Im pretty much into shooting show cars (Euros, and Imports) and moving shots on the highway driving to different shows.

IDK why but my pictures seem to be grainy. Any thoughts or suggestions on how I can improve my shooting? These were on auto.

Im just gonna post links. The first is a original sized one, and I think the others are really bad because I dont have photshop on my laptop so I used Microsoft paint to shrink them to 25% of original.

Yep^^ I got my S2 for Christmas as well...for myself :P If you're interested in moving up to a DSLR, learn to use the S2 in manual mode...then you don't have to worry if the camera took the shot in "auto" correctly :D

When shooting parked cars you could use a tripod with longer exposure times and ISO 50 without using flash.
If manual settings are not comfortable yet try P mode first, it is like auto but you can set ISO, white balance, flash compensation and other things as well.
