Hi POTN,
I'm relatively new to photography, my 30d and this forum.:D. You all have a very nice forum here. Some great info and pics here. Its definitely keeping me busy. Hope everyone had a GREAT New Year...now on to my first issue :(. It seems I have lost my cd that came with the 30d. I've searched canon's site and only come up with updates, no full apps. However, I was able to find File Viewer Util, ImageBrowser, PhotoStitch and Remote Capture for osx.
Here's the best part..when I plug in my camera nothing happens..doesn't connect..no File Viewer and ImageBrowser do not see the camera.
Guess my question to you all is am I missing something from that CD that I can't find? Like drivers that I can't find on canon's site? If so..how can I aquire another?

That's all for now.. :P
over and out!

The answer is that unless someone gives you a copy of the CD, you can't get one short of buying another camera. As you noticed, the files on the Canon website are updates only.

For $10 you can just buy a card reader and you won't need any of the software to get the files into your computer - and it's faster too.
