Is the 20D compatible with the 300/f4 IS?

I just read a user (one person’s) review of the 300/f4 IS that stated it was not compatible (AF doesn’t function and the camera would freeze) when paired with his 20D. Can anyone confirm this combo works?

it should do
he may be talking about have a 2x entender on aswell or his cameras faulty
but should work well

Yes this works excellent.

What you may have read is if you use this lens with a 2x extender on 20D the autofocus won't work.

This lens works brilliantly on a 20D, and also when paired with the 1.4 TC. Tommy is right about the loss of AF with the 2X TC though.
