100-400 L IS + 1.4 TC + 10D, f8 @ 1/250
Wishin' I had a 1200mm - these are all resized from about 1200x850 crops. This bird was too far away, it was very overcast and backlit - but he posed well. I just can't help but admire the majesty of such a bird, I guess.

Great shots but as you say just a shame its from a distance

They great birds and so majestic in flight - I disturbed a Tawney the other day but didn't have time to snap it as it flew off. :(

You must get that lense
