Been working on some stuff lately, and would like to share some of it. Any suggestions on what I could do to improve would be very apperciated =) I am a beginner so even if you have to bag on it =) all good - umm I feel that #4 is a big.."ew" ..maybe to bright? and in #2 I don't think I should have had the foot in frame..hmm I do like my shots though, and I feel I have improved. I dont mind if you edit and repost. =)

I'm a beginner, too, so these are practice evaluations. I may be wrong.

1. Looks like direct flash was used. Hence, blown foreground and dark background. Get an external flash and learn to bounce it, or work with shutter speeds and flash power to balance the image.

2. Fairly sharp, but the lighting makes for a flat image. Perspective isn't very interesting. Try a dog's-eye-view?

3. Interesting shot, but again with the harsh lighting.

4. Nice shot, but the junky background detracts.

I look forward to reading whether I'm on target at all. Keep at it!

thank you! =) I was trying to hit the dark backround in #1 - I see where you are talking about harsh flash like that though. Id like to pick up an external soon. I edited #3 so I through the up contrast and turned bright down - that might be why you think it was the harsh flash. Thats my bad cause well I didnt ha..tell anyone I edited #3 I also gotta read more up about this bouncing stuff =) #4 Ya..haa i hearrr ya =) #2 I will look into it so when next time comes around.

thanks again!
