A Scaly Breasted Lorikeet in a Grevillea in my front yard. The Scaly Breasted is a close cousin of the Rainbow Lorikeet that makes frequent appearances here on POTN. They can inter breed. The Grevillea (Grevillea Ned Kelly) flowers almost all year round and is constantly attracting native birds. I'm going to be planting a few more of these to keep the birds happy. The OOF background in No.2 is actually the bitumen road out front, almost looks appealing like this doesn't it.

Nice pictures Greg. If you didn't say it was a road in #2 I would have assumed it was just a dull grey sky. Thanks for your honesty and yes it is still appealling. #1 is my pic of the three.

Dynamite colors in these shots . WOW factor is way up there. Nice details and poses as well as habitat. I think the first one is my favourite.

You are sooooooo lucky to get these birds in your back yard - the prettiest bird I get in mine is a Red Robin - I'm so jealous :p

Great pics - thanx for sharing.

Thanks again for the comments. It is great to be able to just grab the camera and walk outside to shoot these.
