2 different versions of the same image. These frangipani plants are growing in pots in my yard.
Comments appreciated, thanks for looking,
Nic
Original colour edit, and then another version slightly further worked.

lovely shots there. I think I prefer the first one, the leaves seem to give the shot more depth, but then again I really like the second one too....

I like the first one. With the leaves it really gives you the "growing wild" feeling, not just an arrangement. I also like the vibrancy of the purple edges more.

Another vote for the first one! Beautiful colours and saturation! I really like the water drop detail! Nice and sharp. Did you use a spritzer?

I like the first one. Compared to the first photo the colors are a little dull in the second photo.

Thanks for your comment. This was really basic and easy pp. The first image all i did was a crop of the original to my liking..my usualy workflow just cosists of a manual levels adjustment, a tiny tiny contrast boost and i also enhance my colours using levels in LAB mode then revert back to RGB. In Lab.. i move the top of the curve line left by one square, and the bottom to the right by one square, then i revert back into RGB.I applied a little USM and voila!

The second image was done as above, and then used midnight sepia on it which gave a softer muter colour.

Thanks so much to everybody that commented.:)

Frangipani are SO lovley - quite difficult to photograph too - well done.
The colors are fabulous in the first one. I love the idea of the second one, but I can see a lot of the green still around the edges of the petals.

Were those shot with natural lighting? ... they are just beautiful. Wonderful images.

Awesom pictures and job. Can't wait till the spring so my wife and I can begin flower shooting. I like #2. The bright colors complement the dark background well.
