I hear ya ....

I am the same way - I think we "think" faster than we type perhaps. Sometimes I will type then read something over multiple times, and it looks good - then send it or post it and I find my crazy mistakes.

Best of success with your shoots for 2007!

Cheers,

Dave Safley ;)

My pleasure Dave...best of luck! Please ignore my bad proofreading...I typed it really fast. In addition to all of the butchered spellings, of course I meant "18% gray" in the first paragraph

The 20D was my first Canon DSLR, so forgive me for not knowing it was ETTL, not ETTL II. Whoops!

I've got Four 4g. CF cards now, plus a bunch of 1 and 2 gig cards in part because I do always, always shoot RAW. I've found the ACR Brightness slider to be really useful for flash since it primarily affects skin tones, so if my flash is a bit under or over I can usually dial people in that way very quickly. I recently bought a SanDisk Extreme III for $199, so an Ultra II at $64 was too hard to pass up.

Philco was talking about a message he posted earlier about some features of ETTL-II to a post that I made ( I have a 10d ) - Philco did not relize that the 10d was only ETTL , I did not know this either...

Cheers!

Dave

I use all modes when I shoot with flash. The P-mode is excellent to use as your light-meter also, so you can dial in what you want in M-mode for instance. I also often use the FEC on the flash, to get some more power out than what the "auto" would suggest, that way I can get the exposures I want (well, most of the time).
