Beautiful series, Neil. #3 appeals to my eyes the most. The color warmth and the lines in the field are very inviting. Do I see a little frost on that green grass? 4 reminds me of a scene I'd see near the lake here. Is there a body of water beyond those trees?

I agree with JT- wonderful series of shots. My favourite is the frosted fence.

Wow these are all great shots. #1, wish you had a tripod! Your hotel balcony view is unbelievable! I am partial to #2 & 3, but the frosted fence is also very neat.

-11 eh? Thats damn cold! What precautions do you take when you bring your camera back into the warmth to prevent condensation? I am always so worried I am going to damage my lense when I take it out into the extreme cold.

Fell in love with photos.. made lots of money.. fell out of love with photos.. took a long break.. trying to find my love again.

Classic lines in all of them, but 2 and 4 appeal the most.

Love the color of the water around the rock in the first.
Compisition and landscape are superb in the second, and the leading lines
in the third and forth. Very nice series, enjoyed all of them.

No there isn't actually any water behind, just forest and farmland. Certain areas are in the shade and retain the frost throughout the day other areas, such as in 3, are exposed to the sun and retain little of it.

Before heading back I put the camera back in the bag, then leave it in the bag for an hour or two when I get back home, then the temperature slowly balances.

Me too, the fence in 4 made me stop and start shooting before I reached the forest proper and the early light on the tower was irresistable. Ta.

Boy did I miss water, the frozen stuff just isn't quite the same :) Cheers.
