Unusual concept but I think it works pretty well. When I first saw it I thought "vampire" but I also go along with the Bladerunner comment - the pallid skin and close haircut definitely give the feeling of a replicant. Did you explore this concept any further? If you have any more shots on this theme it would be interesting to see them.

Vampires and morbidity/mortality are very close. -- This is the only shot of this theme. The orgininal has been taken in a completely different context several months ago. A couple of days ago I was browsing the archives and noticed that this shot with slight pp had potential to become something else. Thanks Parkinho, also for the comment reg Blade Runner, now I can make the connection.

Olli,
The final 'replicant' that Harrison Ford killed was a very pale skinned blond with close cropped hair. Not sure who played him but this image looks a bit like him. Or at least how I remember he looked in the movie. And he was the only 'replicant' that finally grasped the value of life.

Now I have to see Blade Runner again. :D (Not a bad idea at all.)

You are now mixing me with Mr. Lecter. It's not a moth in the mouth (external link).

Can serial killer be considered to be a profession?

I think it would likely be more of a hobby than a profession.
Unless of course you consider hitmen "serial killers"?

Agreed ... serial killin' must be a hobby rather than a job. While the hit 'person' will no doubt have similar weirdness at some level they are paid by a third party and focus on any victim rather than one that specifically meets their weird criteria  I suppose it is like the 'Canon only' user v's 3rd party

I would think that being a serial killer (a hobby) would lead one to the profession of hit-man. That's what we do with our photography isn't it? Start out as a hobby and like it, get a bit better at it, and then start doing it for money.

Another interpretation could be the homo-erotic dream of a heroine addict

Hmm, heroin addict, can that be classified as a hobby ... or did you really mean heroine ...

You're going to have to stand alone on this one - I wouldn't know.
