Im usually not a fan of selective color, but the tones on the 2nd one work well for me. nice stuff.

Hi Tim, not sure what to do to make them appear, I had a look without loging on and although the pictures arn`t there you can see them by clicking on the Jpeg sign, when I loged on though they came up fine, i`ll see what I can do.

Hi geester thanx for the comment, do the pictures come up ok for you, or anyone else for that matter.

Mark

I can see them just fine.

What I see in number one is a beautiful bride, exiting from the SUV. Very nice shot. Would have been more so had her foot been included in the shot.

#2 - very nice selective coloring. I might have experimented with partial de-saturation rather than full B&W. Additionally, I think the image is a touch dark/under-exposed. Needs to be brightened just a bit.

Thanx for the reply Scott, your right the first would have been better had I included her foot, but I guess its all a learning curve. I also like the colouring of the second but I will try a partial desaturation aswell see how it comes out.

1st one cut off foot and head take away from it.
zooming out just a little would have made for a sweet shot.

The second works for me. I like it. Maybe just a few tweeks with brightness and contrast to bring it out a little.
Im not a huge fan of chopped head shots and would like another with hers included but they are popular and it works.

I probably wasn't as clear as I would have liked to have been. I would render the entire photo partially desaturated, then bring back the flowers all the way to color. Or, put another way, the same thing you posted, but the B&W part not quite that far. Did that make any sense at all?

Shot #1 seems fair. It isn't that flattering a picture of the bride more of a snapshot. It doesn't really show the context of what she is doing and she is also looking at the ground and you cannot see her face that well.

I agree with Scott, I would desaturate the entire image and only have the flowers at full strength, for me a little colour in the whole images makes selective colouring work 1000% better than B&W alone.
