HEY GUYS -- All of these shots are super.

Yes CDS's is a tad dull,
* Ian's has a tad better light.
** Ian's white gulls are a lovey color (one Quebec pro on TV stepped into towards the flock and set abalze against the sky as background).
*** Scotts hawk is remarkable.. and the TC is even better.
**** Finally I love Jerry's goose .. but prefer to see it rotated 5 deg and cropped as so:

While we're on this track... Anyone had any luck using the mirror lenses for this kind of shooting?

Sounds like fun to me. What should the subject be? Ducks and geese in general? Any wildlife (except for the parties at CDS's place )
Now I have to pray that there is no more snow and that the birds start coming back up here
Oh and just to keep Birders Unlimited off my back, the gulls are snowgeese

I am a new guy and got lucky on that shot but I would love to see what you guys come up with. With my little 300mm I will have to work harder but it could be fun... Count me in. I suggest the photo must be taken during the contest ( no oldies) as done in the other contest.

Go for it. Who will head it up?.

Hmmm... If we get CDS to head it up he can't enter.

And a "no butt shots" rule will rule out IanD.
