This is one of the first shots I took with my 10-22 when I was trying it out at a local country park in September. Which do you think works best?

If it did not have people in it... I would say B&W.

Gut reaction was black and white but, like Rhinotherunt, the people in it somehow seem to make colour more appropriate. I'm not sure why this is.

I'm still going with black and white though.

Many thanks for your feedback. To be honest I first tried B&W on a version in which I had removed the people, but my PS skills weren't quite good enough to pull it off on this one.

Tough one

As a B/W image it has great textures and contrasts

As a colour version it has nice punchy simple colours

For the chosen subject I'd choose the monochrome version :)

I prefer the black & white due to the rugged texture of the stonework and sharp angle of the archway.

The people spoil the otherwise architectural shot. Clone them out for I know from experience some folks think it's funny to stand in front of your tripod regardless of how much you scowl at them.

Cousin... who doesn't mind asking folks "strongly" to get oot of his picture.

Colour is nice, but I'm a sucker for a good B&W shot, and that is a good B&W shot :)

I agree. The B/W does not look right with people in it.

B/W if you would make the blue sky darker in the B/W version!

As I mentioned previously I tried cloning them out but I did struggle as you can see .....a long way from perfect.

You should have heard what I called them at the time......especially as one of them is my husband!!
