Why not just get the Lowepro 300 AW
It's a bit too wide (for me, anyway). I'd rather have a smaller bag.

Also. can you fit any other lenses in at the same time? No probs at all. However, the issue with that is that the whole bag becomes used for just that, so you can't have any other lenses and it's quite inefficient compared to a bag like the toploader or something. Quitting photography for now, but thanks POTN we had a good run

However, the 'right' way, as originally intended - the 70-200 f/2.8 IS will not fit (mounted). Unmounted it goes just about all the way down. Apparently the f/4 does - according to people and review above it does - since it is smaller. I'm not sure about the f/4 IS (Which is what OP wants), since that is new and might be a different size from the regular f/4 This is not entirely true. I'm not sure if there is a 'right' way or not, that's why the partitions are removable. I can also carry at least two other lenses comfortably in the top pocket. Tony

When placed the way it is intended, not sideways, it does fit, but the seams are bursting when you close the zippers. I do it sometimes, but as soon as possible I change the lens. I do not feel comfortable leaving the F4 on camera in the bag. Ahaaaa! The truth comes out.

My concern is that some say that a 70-200 f/4 IS lens will fit into this bag when mounted on the camera, while others say NO WAY, it won't fit. Which is it? Will a 70-200 f/4 IS when mounted on the camera fit into a Slingshot 200 -- or not? If anyone has any pics to "prove it" (one way or another) I'd appreciate it! ![]() That was the OP's original question. Tony
