Great colours and timing! No. 4 does it for me - looking forward to the baseball season myself, even though I'm on the 'wrong' side of the pond! Going to shoot some British baseball this year!

I wish my ability matched my ambitions

Nice shots Mike, I like 1 and 4... Behind the plate with
the ball in the mid-air from the pitcher is one of my
favorite shots...

definitely post some more when you have a chance.
I'm closely watching what you and Jerry are doing...
My 300 f/2.8 arrived friday (non IS but very clean)
and I'm having alot fun with it... I can't believe the
detail I'm pulling from heavy crops...

Thanks Dave,
The 300 is a great lens, I can't wait to break it out again and start shooting...it's been sitting lonely in my bag for awhile!

Some cracking shots there - #3 gets my vote purely as I am amazed at how fast his arm must be moving to get motion blur at 1/1600!!

Good work!!

thats probably my favorite of those 4 to...rainy day that stopped as the game started and all the pics came out good I thought, all of 'em had that seperation, blurred background - somehow turned into perfect light.

Hey Mike -

Good stuff! Thanks for telling us your settings because it helps us all to learn. I really do like the guy in #3. His curve ball is down right nasty and I'm glad to see he's getting it under control -- he's lights out when it's working.

Jerry ~ Baseball is a game where only defensive players handle the ball and offensive players who hit successfully in only one third of their at bats are among the best in the sport.

agreed - this site has helped me learn a TON over the last year from others posting there settings/what they do/etc. As for that guy, he seemed pretty personable and friendly, and then was nasty mean to the IL hitters in that game if I remember correctly. I hope he does well this year.
