Anyone have photos of themselves with it on? I'm curious to see how big it is. I am very interested in this bag.... I recently sold my Computrekker AW... it was nice but too darn HUGE!

You'll see a guy with the R-102 when scrolled down, and it should give you some idea since the R-103 is the same as R-102 except that it has a laptop compartment:

I bought R-103 more than a year ago, and I love this thing. I'm 5'8", and this bag's perfect for my purpose. It's soooooo comfortable. Another reason why I bought this model is because it's airline compliant whereas the 205 isn't, so if you ever need to fly with your camera gear, having the 103 will make a difference.

Here's my brief review of the bag when I first got it:

As for the question regarding the empty laptop compartment, no, it doesn't cave in or collapse at all.

As for the question of the raincover, while I haven't used it, knowing the Kata quality (they specialize in making bullet-proof vests), it ain't shoddy. If I ever feel I need to use it, I'd feel very confident.

Currently I own 4 Kata bags to serve different purposes of my shooting, but I'm thinking about upgrading my 212 Torso bag to their latest and bigger 214.

I have the 102, and my gear fits in tightly. I don't like the way that it's so tight with the grip on my 5D. I want a bigger bag now, maybe go back to lowepro again or try out the Expeditions. idk.

Im also looking at the 103. I want a pack to support my future gear. I plan on picking up a MarkII to go with my 20D with grip. Will this bag support 2 bodies with a combo of lenses and a flash? I love the looks of the Kata line but want to make sure it will hold all of my equipment. Thanks

I would also like to know the answer to this question. Is it possible to have a 20D with a mounted 70-200mm in the center compartment and another 20D mounted to a smaller lens on one of the side compartments?

Neo,

I think it should be possible. I have my 30D with mounted Sig 24-70 in the centre compartment (normally on its side but it does fit flat) withmy Sig 100-300 with Hood reversend and tripod mount in a side compartment..... I reckon the 100-300 in that config is easily as bulky as a body/small lens.

Thanks. I'll definitely look more into it.

I just received my new R-103 today. I'm very impressed by how comfortable it is, but am a little disappointed with the space compared to my Nature Trekker. However, it has better aesthetic appeal because there are less straps, and it is also thinner.
