Hi everyone,

I'm in need of more space (who isn't?)...and obviously I'd like to get it cheap (who wouldn't?). Soo, does anyone know of any great deals out right now? I'm looking for a CF card or microdrive that is 2-4GB...running very cheap?
I remember seeing a 4GB Ridata or Transcend or something a few months back going for extremely low prices.

Thanks.

B&H Has 4gb Kingston's for 30 bucks after mail in rebate. They're out of stock now but that price is pretty hard to beat.

I got a 2GB RIDATA from newegg.com at a great price......$36

i think the price has gone up a tiny bit since then....but the card has performed flawlessly 100% of the time, I don't see why the warnings about buying cheap memory. I've been doing it for years and never had a problem. I've always grabbed the cheapo HAMA type cards and have probably saved literally a hundred or 2 dollars in the long run. They haven't failed me once. People will reply soon saying "yet, you haven't had a problem YET".....

blahblahblah.....my camera's shutter hasn't failed YET either....but it will one day. who cares?

I'll be buying another 2GB RIDATA when the time comes....awesome card.

If you're in the U.S., Staples has the Sandisk Ultra II 2GB for $40 and free shipping. Another post in this forum section alerted me to this, and I just placed an order for 2 cards to add to my existing collection of 5 of the same cards that I've been using this past year.

You can also get the Kingston cards from Adorama.
Info here: http://www.kingston.com/flash/cfjump.asp (external link)

However, shipping is double from Adorama than B&H. But who has it in stock matters the most for getting the product now doesn't it.

Dangit! Just tried to place an order but they don't ship to APO addresses...(military address overseas)....

Drives me bonkers when companies won't ship to me overseas grrrr

Adorama dropped the price for the 4 GB 45x Kingston card to $64.95 so now the price is $14.95 after rebate!

$15 for a 4 GB card! Wow!

I ordered on Saturday when the price was $79.95. Adorama rocks! They gave me a price adjustment. That's customer service. My first order from them. Won't be my last.

Yeah I saw the deal for the $15 cards today - I bought one last year and it's rocked for me so far - Adorama has been good to me on all the gear and prints I've gotten through them - my only complaint is that they don't have everything I want...

btw for those interested the link for the $15 cards http://www.adorama.com …html?sid=1168289882153006 (external link)

Don't get me wrong, I buy a lot of stuff from Adorama. Just bought a 4gig Extremen III there for $95 after the rebate. I go into the store a lot, since I have a client down the street from them and I visit the client weekly.

But the $15 4GB CF cards not being in stock reminds me of an old joke.

Guy goes into a bakery to ask the price of a dozen bagels. The owner says "$7."

The guy says, "that's outrageous, the guy across the street only charges $5."

The owner says, "so go buy your bagels across the street."

The guy says, "they're out of bagels across the street."

The owner says, "when I'm out of bagels, they also cost $5 a dozen here."

I've rec'd all my Kingston rebates. And I've done many rebates for the 2 GB Elite Pro cards. It will be interesting to see the speed difference between the 2 GB 50x cards and the 4 GB 45x cards. Can't be too siginificant.
