Looking at the new ones you've put up since the first ones, look great. I really like the 1st one of post #11. Cool shot.

Don't worry about your dissatisfaction w/ #5....I LOVE IT!!! It's called alternative focus...it actually looks very creative.

Really great work here..the B&Ws look great!

Some nice shots. Why is the middle of the second set a different hue? (and OoF ;))
#13 isn't my cup of tea...

Like the first B&W set.

Since reIgnition looks like heavy music, I would like to see a bit more punch in the bw pictures (especially more contrast).

Here's my try on one of the color pictures (note that there's a max eight pictures per thread limit so I'll just link this): click (external link)

1. Basic channel mixer bw-conversion
2. curves
3. local contrast enhancement (highlights protected)
4. add grain

Too bad the black shirt and hair meld into the bg, but there's not much one can do about that, given the source picture.

kmb, a bit off subject, but how do you do 'local contrast enhancement'?

Thanks again everyone. I didn't know (or didn't read) about the 8 pic max. next time I'll be more mindful. also, John that EXIF plug in is awesome thanks for that.

I think #13 I played around with it in Photoshop and added a filter to it. Just trying it out.

here is the myspace site for the band -- they have 4 songs that you can listen to.
