42 views and not a single comment? :( No swim lovers out there? C'm on, don't be afraid of the water, just jump into the pool!

When I last posted some photos of swimming, I didn't have the 85 f/1.8, and now that I do own it I thought I'll give another shot at swimming in order to compare the results with that of earlier shots that I took with my 70-200 f/2.8. FYI, I was able to bring down the ISO to 800 with the 85 whereas I had to use the ISO1600 with the 70-200...

SYS, I don't know if it's just me, but I can't view your images...check the link to them is active and correct, as they're coming up as dead links to me at the mo! That could explain your view:comment ratio!

Hmm.... Thank you for alerting me to this problem. I uploaded the photos rather than linking from another source, and I'm seeing them fine from my end both from home and at work, so I don't know what the problem is....

I see them. I love the pictures, great colors and exposure. The frame isn't doing it for me though. I think a "flat" frame with another color would fit these better.

Thanks for the confirmation that the images are viewable! Yes, I was hesitating regarding the choice of frames.... Will play around with different choices.... Thanks for your comments. :D

Thanks for looking and for your comments. I've been practicing swimming shoots using my kids with a couple different lenses. Can hardly wait to do some serious shots at real competitive events.

Good shooting, I like #3, tack on the face and nice motion on the hand.
#5 love the lane line in the image.:D

Was the 85 AF fast enough to give you many keepers?

Thanks, Steve, for your kind comments. I did have many keepers using the 85, but I kept messing up the timing on butterfly. The day I took these turned out to be the record busy day at the Y's pool, so I didn't have any leisure for taking pictures of different variety. Thanks for looking! :D

Good shots, and the 85's obviously working well for you. Show up to a pool in UK with a camera, and your out on ear before you can say "child protection act" tho'.

Another thing that worked with the 85 was that no one bothered me about taking pictures, whereas I had enountered a problem with the 70-200. 85 is definitely less threatening. My boys are going to participate in a chess tournament today in a couple hours, and 85 again will be the choice of my lens. Will see how that goes... Thanks for looking.
