Yup - those are amusing! Saw them a while back.....its well worth looking at Lucy Nicholson's website (girl from Reuters featured on there) - some awesome photos on there.

Have to confess to chimping too - was at a game last Saturday and was clearly seen on the tv highlights gazing at the back of the camera. Oops!!

Repeat after me....My name's Paul and I'm a Chimpaholic.

Anyone else want to share in my shame and confess?

I don't understand why people "confess" to chimping. That is the primary function of the LCD. It can give you some very good information when properly setup. Why have a good feature and then not use it for all it is worth?

Yea I never could understand the negative of looking at what is going on with your shots. Might as well go back to film.

I think that its an ego thing. I don't have to look at my work I am the best. Thats why they don't like others see them doing it. Others will think that you need to check your work.

I know that I suck, so I don't have to worry about it.

My friends make fun of me if they catch me doing it.
Actually, I do it primarily to check my exposure on the histogram. With my eyes, I can't really see much of anything on that little screen, and with sports shooting, the action moves to fast for me to stop and chimp my shots incessantly.
