Whoa...#3 is a very powerful image. #4 looks familiar to me. Is that a popular spot to shoot from? I recollect seeing that same scene from someone else in the last week or so.

Could've been me posting the image in the 'Your favourite photo of 2006' thread :)

The low cloud there was awesome, only had the opportunity to see it once before, and that was from the summit of Snowdon (highest mountain in England and Wales) at sunrise about ten years ago.

Two more, the first is of Tryfan, the only mountain in the UK where you have to use your hands to help ascend its slopes:

Your third, fourth and fifth images are very atmospheric both in weather and emotive terms.

PS Having scrambled up quite a number of Munros, there are definitely occasions there where both hands are required. ;)

YES, that's where I saw it. It's almost like you're "on top of the world" with that one. :D

Excellent series, 3/4/5 are all very moody esp #4 which could be a Martian landscape :)

I'm thinking of investing in a Lee filter system (possibly combined with Hitech filters), as I noticed that when shooting wide the sides of my cokin filter is clearly to be seen, so I need something a little wider.

Wow, nice shot! Did you use an IR filter? How did you get the funky sky?
I'm originally from Bangor, I now live in Cardiff, but pop back up to North Wales several times a year - IMO the scenery up North is much nicer than in South Wales.

OP, you done good. Just ignore the peanut gallery with the ignore button. Lately, I've found that one tool to be as valuable as a blood pressure cuff. Due to typing, instead of communicating face to face, one never can be sure if one is being attacked, having one's chain pulled, or just made contact with the mean side of the TwiLight Zone.
