3 and 4 flick my switch, was that sunrise or set in 4. really great pics and i'm sure the climb paled in to insignificance when you saw the results.
Surprisingly short of snow in all of them, how mild is the winter, that was supposed to be sooo bad everyone was gunna freeze to death.
Nick the house reminds me of the cottage from the film "DOG SOLDIERS" that was such a funny film, i'm sure it was set in wales too. Great pic also!

The scenery may be simple, but it was set in Scotland (external link). ;)

Its the sunset, got cold pretty quickly up there once the sun had dipped over the horizon. Fortunately I had my Petzl head torch, and was able to come down the north ridge safely in the dark.

Wow, nice shot! Did you use an IR filter? How did you get the funky sky?
I'm originally from Bangor, I now live in Cardiff, but pop back up to North Wales several times a year - IMO the scenery up North is much nicer than in South Wales.

I converted from RAW with little adjustment , then removed road signs, park benches and other unwanted artifacts. Adjusted curves , levels and converted to monochrome using channel mixer.
Bit of burning with wide soft brush and 6% opacity the river and 30% opacity the sky ( to get the look of a grubby old photo)
Finally I used the ink outline filter to get the crisp finish.

Ah interesting, will have to give the grubby sky process a spin :)
Cheers.
