Anyone out there experiencing sudden loss of power with their battery grip?

Using mine yesterday and suddenly the camera shut off and on by itself a number of times...looked at the battery indicator and showed almost empty with what was a pair of recently charged batteries ( I later put them on a a charger and it took no time to top them off) When I wiggled the battery grip and loostened and tightened the connecting screw it came back on and indicated a full charge, but I kept getting the error #2 (CF card error I believe) Installed a fresh card and got the same error message...shut the gamera off for a while, put in another fresh card and everything was ok...missed some nice shots though at the winter Maine DS group party...I'm also wondering if the off and on might have done anything to the internal program...all the batteries and cards tested fine at home on the bench afterwards..

Sounds like the original problem with the BG-E2. There was a service bulletin back around May of 2005 - was your grip one of those affected by that? Or the problem may be re-surfacing.
