All I have to say is "WOW"....I've never used anything for camera support besides a cheap cheap tripod. So I expected a monopod to be a flimsy piece of metal. ummmm NO. Now I can appreciate what everyone has been saying here about bogen/manfrotto products! Nice and sturdy is the understatement of the year.
And for luggage I have been carrying my camera and lens around in a normal backpack and just being really careful not to bump it or anything. This is going to change up my hobby so much.
The quick release ball head is SO much more than I expected. I remember when I was a kid my dad had a cheap tripod and cheap all-plastic quick release. I used the big ol' camcorder with it and it actually fell off more than one time. I was worried, but this thing is BUILT and my rebel isn't going anywhere.
Well thanks for reading, hopefully I inspired some fellow newbs to get you some accessories....WELL worth the purchase, I am overly impressed with this stuff. Can't wait till the weekend to go out and get used to using the pod.
