Lil' statues at a small fish pond. I tried to give life and movement to them. Image shot with a bendy lens...

Many Thanks! :) I used a really cheap lens to get the effect! ;)

Thanks Basil and Char!

The effect is done with a cheap lens called a lensbaby.

Nice shot. I like the effect. Ahhhh, Lensbabies...the poor man's tilt shift lens. I want one. :) Actually, I use a hand-held 50mm to good effect for things like that. Observe:

Awwwwwwwww, yeah!

Jim, thanks for the kind words!

Jason, you are right. They are the poor man's tilt shift, but no where able to do architecture like a realt tilt shift. They are cheap and fun to play with. It is a specialty lens. I find I am able to get great results from these kind of objects. Very difficult to do moving objects like people or animals. I rarely use mine. To be honest. I have a tendency of just carrying my primes around. On occassion I will force myself to use only one lens. That is when I get cool results.

Rafromak, I think you may be right. Thanks for the comments.

Oh, I believe it. And pretty sharp, I hear. I wouldn't mind owning one. Well, I wouldn't mind a Canon TS-E, either. :)

Yeah, if you are able to hold focus it is real sharp. The new version just released has a way of being able to lock focus. Yeah, I definately would love a tilt shift lens! I want a 5D first.

Canon EOS-5D: $2500
ANY Canon TS-E lens: $1100
Lensbaby 3G: $250
Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM (the lens I really, really want): $1200

Ryan, why do we have to have the expensive hobbies? :)

I feel you bro! LOL! There are more expensive ones though... Like drag racing, riding Harleys, big game hunting, and salt water fishing to name a few...
